Rachel LaForce offers a new form of entertainment where comedy and consciousness collide. A multi-hyphenate Creator based in Atlanta and Los Angeles, LaForce is an Actor, Comedian, Creative Producer, Spiritual Speaker, and Writer. Annnd she’s still in search of a longer title. #blessup

Bringing over a decade of professional experience to the proverbial table, LaForce has a sixth sense for developing creative material. Whether it’s overseeing a creative production, podcasting, screenwriting, on-camera acting, or live performance, LaForce brings her own unique voice to each of her favorite mediums.

 

She owns and operates Skewed Orbit, a digital production company alongside her husband and fellow comic, Alex Gettlin. Skewed produces high-quality, engaging, digital content that exposes the ridiculousness of the human experience. In addition to producing and consulting on a variety of projects, they have a roster of original content, including three digital shows currently streaming new episodes weekly exclusively on Snapchat. 

Starting out, LaForce cut her teeth in Chicago performing all over America and Europe with The Second City Touring Company. An active performer, Rachel’s onscreen credits include; two projects by Whitney Cummings, Hulu, HBO, TruTv, and more. Contributing amongst other powerhouse comedians such as; Ilana Glazer, Abbi Jacobson, and Aparna Nancherla, Rachel is honored to be highlighted in writer/director Anna Fields' newest book; 'The Girl In The Show: Three Generations of Comedy, Culture, and Feminism'. Rachel can be seen in the viral College Humor sketch, Honest Interracial Date, and was even turned into a gif (yes, really). Her work has been featured at various comedy festivals and has been published in The Huffington Post comedy blog and Chicago Tribune.

Throughout the pandemic, LaForce pitched to Comedy Central, had a female-driven show in development with Merman Productions, and was the showrunner and co-producer for Highly Unlikely, a digital show in partnership with one of the largest cannabis sites Wikileaf.com. 

Currently, Rachel hosts seasonal empowerment events centered around connection and activation aptly titled, Girl, Revolt! She co-produces two stand-up shows in Los Angeles at The Hollywood Improv and Westside Comedy Theater. She has two weekly podcasts, Common Ground Morning Show and The Rachel LaForce Show.
