Into The Unknown: What Happens When You Finally Trust Yourself

If Elsa had a therapist, a tarot deck, and a comedy mic, it would sound a lot like this episode. You’ve been warned. This week walks us straight into the energetic Bermuda Triangle of December: the part of the year where endings and beginnings overlap, self-trust becomes non-negotiable, and your intuition stops whispering and starts shouting, all while you’re traveling, wrapping gift,s and questioning your own. Stepping into the unknown is spiritual, exhilarating, annoying, destabilizing, and wildly clarifying.

The Call Into the Unknown

As if I could have avoided dragging Elsa and Anna into this - but - drawing inspiration from Disney's "Frozen," this season of life is about embracing change and trusting your journey, no matter how daunting it may seem. “The Unknown” is an energetic pull. It’s literal. Just as Elsa and Anna confront their fears, we too must face our uncertainties. Sorry, not sorry.

Big, new beginnings don’t politely ask for permission. They kick the door in. How can you begin to embrace this new chapter with joy and curiosity? No, seriously, I’m asking because I, too, am confronting my unknown, and I am feeling a whole lot more like Olaf than Elsa. For a while in my spiritual journey, I have relied on oracle cards, spiritual texts, and tarot for guidance, and somewhere along the way, I outgrew the need for confirmation and chose to trust myself. Not because I’m better than you but simply because I already have enough on my to-do list and having more atruments was just no longer appealing. BUT - I was recently restocking my 60-minute ritual candles, a morning practice I am obsessed with. Quick tangent - I am super ADHD, as evident from this tangent - and I get overwhelmed in the mornings by the amount of small tasks needed to get my family out the door, so I use these 60-minute ritual candles to help me ground and know I can handle anything for 60 minutes - okay, back to the plot! While restocking my ritual candles at my favorite metaphysical store and I spotted a tarot deck that might as well have had my name on it because I was drawn to it like it was a long-lost friend. Not be be wildly hyperbolic, but this deck is changing my life. LOLZ. So, in honor of our last episode of season 5, I pulled cards for us to see even more of ourselves in this week’s episode. Let’s dive in.

The Wealth Card & Why You Can’t Mess This Up

The first tarot card pull represents the Ace of Disks: wealth, expansion, opportunity, abundance…maybe money, maybe support, maybe a new level of wellbeing.

Regardless of how it chooses to appear, you can’t fuck it up. Wealth does not have to be a constant struggle or grind; it’s a frequency: aligned work, aligned identity, aligned desire. Wealth is acquired through self-trust.

The Three of Disks: Your Effort Is Finally Landing

Here’s where the spiritual rubber meets the road. The Three of Disks represents the interconnectedness of wealth and work. The energy is stable and tangible. True wealth comes from aligning our actions with our gifts. It's wealth through work, through what you're putting out there. Each and every one of us offers a unique contribution to the world. This card reminds us that the work you are doing is working, and life is changing accordingly.

Defend Your Territory

The Seven of Wands pulls up with that grounded warrior energy. This does not mean chaos, scrambling, and survival mode. This is earned confidence. Defend what you’ve already built, but hold onto your softness.

Authority = Alignment

December’s energy is big, bold, directional. You are the authority now. You don’t need validation anymore. This is the moment you stop outsourcing permission and start leading with identity.

Journal Prompts (Expanded, reflective, The Cut-style)
  1. Where in my life do I feel the “calling” into something unknown? What emotion sits beneath that calling - fear, excitement, grief, relief?

  2. If I treated self-trust as my primary source of wealth, what would I start doing differently this week?

  3. Where am I still asking for validation before moving? What would it look like to move from inner authority instead?

  4. What am I currently building that deserves my protection, devotion, or boundaries? How can I defend it without hardening?

  5. If December marks a new beginning, what part of me is ready to be seen in the new chapter?

Wow. We did it. Another season down, another 30 weeks of showing up for ourselves. I could have imagined allll of the lessons learned and plot twists. It has been an honor to do this work alongside you. And so, for now, we rest. Change can be daunting, but it also opens doors to new possibilities and growth. Each step you take is a step towards your true self. I can’t wait to see you in the new year.

Stay close. Season 6 launches in February. As always, tune out, tune in.

 Love you, mean it. Rachel
