Redefining How You Show Up

So, you’ve started to slow down. You’re doing the deep work. You’re choosing nurture over hustle and once you got a taste of that shift, it changes everything. But here’s the next layer: How you show up. The energy you bring. The standard you set for yourself.

This is about letting excellence be where you start, not what you squeeze out of yourself once everything else is done.

DEFINE YOUR VERSION OF EXCELLENCE

This isn’t about perfectionism. It’s not about optics. This is about asking: What does excellence actually look like for me? Not some Pinterest board or CEO-morning-routine nonsense, but you, in your real life.

What does it mean to show up well? With integrity? With presence? If you let yourself operate from that space consistently, what changes? How do you move? Speak? Make decisions?

This part takes honesty.

IDENTIFY WHAT’S ACTUALLY IN THE WAY

This is the part where you sit with the stuff that’s not so shiny. The patterns. The excuses. The fear. The people-pleasing. The voice in your head that says “Who do you think you are?”

You don’t need to judge it, just name it. When we keep this stuff in the dark, it owns us. Saying it out loud takes away its power.

LET EXCELLENCE BE THE BASELINE

From this point on, excellence isn’t a high bar you try to clear on your best day. It’s the new ground you stand on. It’s about being deeply aligned with your values and capacity.

Excellence means: I take myself seriously. I honor my word. I lead with presence. I own my talent. It’s quiet, powerful, and doesn’t need to prove anything.

PRACTICE FULL EXPRESSION (EVEN WHEN IT’S UNCOMFORTABLE)

The most challenging part? Staying open. Not shrinking. Not editing yourself into something more digestible.

Excellence isn’t performance. It’s permission, to be all of who you are. The part of you that’s funny, brilliant, messy, spiritual, skeptical, and fully alive. You don’t owe anyone the watered-down version.

Keep showing up, even when it feels raw. Even when you’re not sure how it’s landing. That’s the work. That’s the practice.

PLAYING THE LONG GAME

The world doesn’t need more polished personas. It needs more of you—fully expressed, deeply rooted, and committed to living with intention.

So whether you’re sipping coffee, walking around the block, or scribbling in a journal right now, ask yourself: What does excellence look like for me today? Then choose one thing—just one—that aligns with that answer.

It’s not about doing more. It’s about doing what matters—and doing it like you mean it.
