FAILURE IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS
My entire concept for this episode began with this inner call I received: Get Loud. This phrase hit me out of nowhere and made me rethink how I approach my goals. For so long, I’ve been operating with this sneaky voice that questions if I deserve to succeed. Sound familiar?
A PATTERN OF SELF-SABOTAGE
When we’re trying something new, we often find ourselves doing it the same old way. We expect change, but we adhere to the patterns that haven't worked for us in the past. It's almost impossible for me to believe that I deserve success. And that has hindered my progress. Even when I make strides, I feel as if I'm still waiting for external validation.
PLAYING IT SAFE
'Playing close to the edge of failure' means that you get so close that you no longer care about winning or losing. The goal shifts from outside validation to proving something to yourself. It’s about showing up with boldness and daring greatly.
I'm currently on this Fit and Famous by Forty journey, and for me, it is not about looking a certain way before sharing my story. If I waited to have the perfect scenario, what's the point? Who cares about another curated success story? What we need is raw, unfiltered journeys.
Stop playing it safe and get out of your own way.
THE MAGNETIC POWER OF AUTHENTICITY
When you’re authentically you, without the need for validation, you hold a certain magnetism.
It’s like the person at a party who doesn’t need anyone to take them home. They are at ease with themselves. It is the type of confidence that can transform a career, relationships, and personal endeavors.
DAILY DEPOSITS = BIG GAINS
Instead of stressing about whether my grand plans will succeed, I make daily deposits.
It’s the cumulative effect over time that leads to success.
I count my macros, get my water, move my body, and step into creative endeavors. I am aware that these actions alone will immediately bring fame or fitness.
EMBRACE PLAY
What would it look like for you to play on the edge of failure? Being scared is no longer necessary.
If you identify as someone who is awake, engaged in self-development, or spiritually connected, then you should already know that the universe has your back. But we often forget, and that leads to stress and micromanagement. The call to action is simple: show up, take risks, and believe in the process.
Keep planting those seeds.
Transformation will happen, and you will be ready when it arrives.
