ECLIPSE SEASON IS BASICALLY FREE THERAPY

The air feels different, the collective energy is louder, and your body - whether you admit it or not - knows something’s shifting. Eclipse season is here, and while the internet will try to convince you it’s a cosmic horror show, I’m here to tell you it’s more like a free therapy session… if you let it be.
Because eclipse season is basically a fine-tooth comb. Or tweezers, if you prefer drama. It’s not about blowing up your life. It’s about zooming in - on what matters, what doesn’t, and what’s been quietly begging you to pay attention.
And listen, I get it. Slowing down feels like losing ground. Most of us were raised on a diet of more, faster, now. You think if you don’t sprint, you’ll miss your shot. But what if slowing down is the shot? What if the thing you’ve been running toward has been panting behind you this whole time, just waiting for you to sit your ass down?

The Thing Isn’t the Thing:
Here’s the cosmic joke: the thing you think you want is never the actual thing. Money isn’t about dollar bills - it’s about freedom. Content isn’t about algorithms - it’s about creative expression. Dating isn’t about finding someone so you’re not alone - it’s about connection.
When we forget the essence, we overwork ourselves into oblivion. We say yes to too many projects, too many dates, too many group chats we didn’t need to be in. (Truly, if I get added to one more “fun neighborhood moms” text chain, I may fake my own disappearance.)
But eclipse season asks us to pick up the tweezers and ask: What’s the essence?
From Pick-Me Energy to Sit-Back Energy
For years, I lived on my toes: “Pick me! I’m here! I’ll do it! Say jump, I’ll say how high.” That’s not embodiment - that’s auditioning for your own life.
Now, I’m practicing the sit-back. Not in a lazy, binge-watch way, but in a grounded, embodied, I know who I am way. When you sit back, you’re not missing opportunities - you’re actually noticing the right ones.
Think about it: when you’re sprinting, you’re looking at the ground to avoid tripping. When you sit back, you can finally look up and notice what’s around you.
Your Nervous System Is the Gatekeeper
Here’s where it gets messy. Even when the good thing shows up; the job, the date, the check, your nervous system might freak out. Abundance feels threatening when your body only knows survival mode.
That’s why slowing down isn’t just spiritual; it’s biological. Every time you pause instead of sprint, you’re teaching your body in real time: I am safe to receive what I desire.
That is eclipse season medicine. Not more affirmations. Not another 17-step manifestation practice. Just reprogram your body to hold the good without collapsing under it.
From Discipline to Devotion
The old model is hustle, grind, discipline. That energy had its moment. But what actually sustains us is devotion, showing up with love instead of punishment. Eclipse season is less “beating yourself into submission” and more “tending to what already wants to bloom.”
Why This Matters Collectively
And because this is Healing is Hilarious, let’s zoom out. Yes, it’s about you, but it’s also about us. The world is chaotic, unjust, terrifying. That’s not going away. But the clearer and calmer we are as individuals, the less easy we are to confuse and manipulate.
Clear people are culture-shifters. Which is why your embodiment work is also cultural repair.
Takeaways
Momentum isn’t embodiment. Just because something is moving doesn’t mean it’s aligned.
The thing isn’t the thing. Always ask what the essence is.
Sit back ≠ doing nothing. It’s choosing presence over panic.
Teach your body safety. Receiving without sprinting is the real flex.
Devotion > discipline. Love will take you further than punishment ever could.
Journal Prompts
What’s the essence behind the thing I want right now?
Where am I leaning forward in “pick-me” energy instead of sitting back?
How do I want to teach my body that it’s safe to receive?
Which old goals no longer match who I am today?
Where in my life can I shift from discipline to devotion?
Eclipse season is not here to ruin you. It’s here to refine you. Put the tweezers in your hand, babe. Sit back. The thing you’ve been chasing is already trying to find you.
As always - tune out. Tune in. Love you, mean it.
